Vaccine Selfies: Beware Of What You Share

Vaccine Selfies.  They are the latest trend. It is understandable that those who have received the COVID vaccine want to celebrate. But before posting that selfie with your vaccination card, think twice.

Not only do these posts contain personal information such as name and date of birth but in posts shared on social media platforms, those celebrating their immunization sometimes also tag specific locations or include details about their employment or health conditions . All of this information can serve as prime fodder for cybercrime. Both the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau have issued warnings to this effect.

Protect your health by getting that shot in the arm and protect your privacy by keeping the card, and the details, to yourself.
