Meet EPB&B’s New VP of First Impressions

Providing opportunity for a career in insurance is something that is important at Elliott, Powell, Baden, and Baker. It is in that spirit that we welcome our new Vice President of First Impressions, Sharif Morton, a recent graduate from the University of Portland.

“The VP of First impressions is a chance for a person new to insurance to get hands-on learning of the business,” explains EPB&B president, Marc Baker, “ with the hope that they will show the interest and ability to grow within the agency.”

That is exactly what Olivia Astrue has done.  After graduating from Washington State University and holding down the the front desk for the past year, Olivia has recently obtained her insurance license and is getting ready to start her new position in the personal lines department at EPB&B.

“It has been so helpful starting in the VP of First impressions role, “ Olivia explains, “having no insurance background, the ability to interact with people in every position at EPB&B over the past year has given me an understanding of how things work within the business, and invaluable preparation for my new position.”

Other current EPB&B team members who began their insurance career at the front desk of EPB&B include;

  • Jeremy Dickman, Personal Lines Account Manager.
  • Lyndsay Warren, Bonds Account Manager.
  • Oksana Chorna, Commercial Lines Account Manager.
  • Melissa Hedden, Personal Lines Account Manager.
  • Desireae Shorten Commercial Lines Account Manager.

 Welcome Sharif, we look forward to having you as part of the team.

Welcome Sharif, with Olivia, you are training with the best.
