Hurricane Ida; Your Support Can Make A Difference

Only sixteen years after hurricane Katrina devastated the area, our neighbors in the South are facing yet another force of nature. Power outages across New Orleans, destructive winds of up to 145 miles an hour, and life threatening flooding are a result of hurricane Ida which touched down Sunday, August 29, 2021, the strongest hurricane to hit Louisiana since 1950.

The Red Cross is one of the many organizations rallying to provide support to people from Louisiana to Alabama, providing 600 volunteers on the ground for relief efforts, providing shelter, ready to eat meals and lifesaving blood transfusions.

To make a donation to relief efforts you can text IDA to 90999 to make a ten dollar donation. You can find more information on the Red Cross relief efforts HERE.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this powerful force of nature.
