Portland Homeless Family Solutions empowers homeless families with children to get back into housing - and stay there.
Did you know Multnomah county only has about 400-500 year-round shelter beds for moms, dads and kids who experience homelessness but there are over 1000 families waiting for help right now.
As you may know, we are working to help Portland Homeless Family Solutions (PHFS) reach their goal of $3,500,000 by the end of April 2018 to purchase a new building with more space to house and help those suffering from homelessness.

The new Amazon Show brings you everything you love about Alexa, but now she can show you things too. Watch Prime video content, see music lyrics, security cameras, photos, weather and more - all hands free. Our raffle for the new Amazon Show is to benefit Portland Homeless Family Solutions and the Families First Campaign to raise funds for a new building and increase their shelter capacity from 8 families a night to 26 families a night. The acquisition of a new building on the East side will also allow families to be closer to daycare, work and day shelters. The property features eight units of permanent housing with room to build more units and increase that number to 30 permanent units.
Stop by our office and enter the raffle. Tickets are $10 and everything goes to PHFS. Drawing will be held April 30, 2018.
Today we were lucky enough to give back to two amazing local charities - Camp Ukandu and Oregon Humane Society. Camp Ukandu is a camp for kids and families dealing with cancer. Their mission is to bring joy and hope to children living with cancer, their siblings and families through "outrageously fun" camp experiences. Oregon Humane Society is the largest humane society in the Northwest and adopts more animals from its Portland shelter than any other single-facility shelter on the West Coast. These two organizations were the recipients of funds collected at our annual insurance industry open house in December. Special thanks to all of our industry partners who attended and everyone who helped us make this a reality.
PHFS is drastically expanding... and they need your help! They are in the process of purchasing a building that would quadruple the shelter capacity, expand homeless prevention programs, and include affordable housing units. But they can't do this without you!
EPB&B is working with PHFS to try and make this dream a reality. Our goal is to donate $2,500 to the project by April 30th.
You can help - stop by our office and donate your loose change, empty cans/bottles or buy a ...raffle ticket to win an Amazon Show valued at $229. You can also browse our mini-garage sale with lots of fun items.
